"My favorite place to stay in the area"
I am a frequent visitor to this hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful in all ways. Breakfast works for me and the rooms are always clean. Beds are very comfortable. Fast and easy access to I-5. I will always come back when I am in the area.

"Wonderful hotel, clean room, great breakfast, employees helpful!"
We went to CA to visit my brother and his family. They lived right down the street and the location of this hotel was fabulous for us. You could get onHighway 5 in a minute, and you could get to the beach in a few minutes. Our room was spacious and clean. Had no problems with anything while we were there! The breakfast was so wonderful, and the food was delicious and convenient. It was so nice to get up and just walk down the hall for food and coffee. Not to mention the queen size beds were so comfortable. Where else can you get a queen size bed without paying a ton of money???
We even used the pool and the kids loved it to cool off for a little while. I can't say enough good things about the hotel. The employees were helpful and kind. And San Clemente is such a wonderful little town by the beach, not even 5 minutes from the hotel. Couldn't ask for a better location and hotel!!!

"Great hotel"
We found this hotel @ 11:30 at night by chance, they were very accommodating and the price was great for what was included. Most hotels will charge you for parking, internet access & breakfast and at this spot everything was included in the rate.
The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was great. I highly recommend this great little hotel.

"Would go back if in the area again"
The hotel was exactly what we expected by looking at the website and reading reviews on Expedia. The location was great for us as my husband was there to golf. The restaurant at the golf course was very good and right across the street! The room was very comfortable. We loved the way it was set up with the sitting room separated from the bedroom. The sitting room had a nice view of the ocean, past the freeway. Although the freeway was just below, we really could not hear it. The breakfast was very good. My daughter and 2 grandkids spent the day with me by the pool while my husband golfed. The pool was very clean and not at all crowded. We would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

"Great Hotel!"
Staff is exceptionally friendly! Free breakfast had a little bit of everything for our family, which was wonderful. About a ten-minute walk to the beach, but with the beautiful weather we didn't mind it one minute. Restaurants are very near. I do have to say that their beds are extremely comfortable and the maids do a wonderful job. We will definitely stay here again when we are in San Clemente.
"Wonderful Stay!"
My husband and I stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend. We had a 3rd floor Jacuzzi room that was very clean and spacious. The front desk called when we got to the room, to make sure everything was fine with us. The balcony overlooked the golf course and was very relaxing to watch. The bed and bedding was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and beer (one night) the hotel offered. We ate at several of the local eateries and were quite impressed. Underground parking made us feel safe with our classic car. A great hotel, great staff and we will be back next year!!
"Great Value for the Price...Good Beds, Free Breakfast, Great Staff!"
I stayed at this Hampton Inn for two nights. Rooms on both sides of the hotel have their advantages. Off the west side, though close to the interstate, you can watch the sunsets. Off the east side you overlook a very peaceful golf course and pool area. The suites are lovely. Room appeared clean with updated beds and bedding. Patio with chair and table. Desk area in bedroom. Living room has good seating, microwave and refrigerator. I had free breakfast and newspaper in the morning right next to the pool, inside or outside seating. In the evening I had cocktails, hot snacks and cookies. Really can't be beat for the price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Free parking either underground or outside. I had a problem with booking both nights (my mistake) and the staff worked very hard to find me a nice room in which I didn't have to move from. The pool is small but pleasant, hot tub is just hot enough and great place to relax overlooking golf course, very quiet. I liked this place. I would come back and stay here.
"Close to Camp Pendleton"
Rooms were spacious with a nice sitting area. The extra room is a great feature. Hotel is older but they keep it clean. Breakfast is the average waffles, Danishes, eggs and yogurt etc. Pool is small. Great beach, very close. A car would be best. Taco bell, Starbucks, KFC, Carls Jr and Ralphs grocery store are all close enough. Queen suites are on highway/ocean side and double suites on golf course side. This hotel is excellent if you need space for your son that is on liberty from Camp Pendleton. Like a mini house and within 5 min from SOI. I will stay here again for this reason for sure.
"Wonderful, Better Than We Expected"
The staff was great, very helpful and friendly. Had a problem with the DVD player in our room and the girl at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting us some help. The room was plenty big for four adults (we had the double queen suite). Room and bathroom were clean and the beds were very soft and comfortable with plenty on pillows. When asked if we could get a couple of extra towels for the pool we were given four, unlike some hotels that barley want to give you enough to shower with. We were surprised at how soft the towels were compared to the usual sandpaper feeling ones. All in all a great trip made that much nicer by the staff and niceness of the hotel.
